        Ingredients {For Crust}:

2 cups flour

1/2 t. salt

1 stick Crisco

1 T. vinegar

7 T. Cold water

Recipe {For Crust}:

Combine flour + Salt and cut one cup of Crisco into the mix. Make sure it is crumbly.

Add vinegar into the water and gradually add to mixture. The pie should be soft but not too sticky.

Gently place into pan and make sure if their are rips to mend them together.

Set aside the spare dough.

Ingredients {For Pie}:

6 cups frozen Marion berry
1 cup sugar
1 t. lemon juice
3 T. cornstarch
 1/2 water

Recipe:

Put berries, sugar, and lemon juice into pan and mix over medium heat. Add 3 T. cornstarch mixed with water until blended. Pour into berry mixture and bring to boil until mixture thickens. Remove from heat and pour into pie crust shell. Place top crust over berry mixture, crimp edges, and sprinkle with sugar. Cut a few slits once top crust is on so heat can escape.Have oven preheated to 425 F.  Bake 10 minutes and lower temperature to 350 degrees. Bake about 45 minutes or until lightly golden. Let cool to ensure filling thickens. Enjoy!

Stars: ⭐⭐⭐⭐

My Opinion:

I would recommend this pie and it is worth it, but if you are going to make it, be sure you have an hour and a half or so set aside. This project does take time. Also when you take the pie out of the oven be sure not to cut into it just yet. It will not be solid enough quite yet. This recipe is quite hard the first time you make it. If you are making this and you have lots of extra dough you can make mini bite size pies that taste amazing!
