Pumpkin Cupcakes

~For the chocolate cake part use the link to get to the Betty Crocker Cake Mix I used for this recipe: https://www.bettycrocker.com/products/betty-crocker-baking-and-cake-mixes/milk-chocolate~

Ingredients (For Chocolate Cupcakes):

 3 eggs

1/3 cup of vegetable oil

1 1/4 cup of water

Recipe (For Chocolate Cupcakes):

Put eggs, vegetable oil, water, and cake mix into a bowl. Hand mix for two minutes quickly or mix with electric hand mixer on medium until all of the bumps are gone. Put into cupcake pan with (Preferably green) cupcake liners. Bake on 350F for about 15-20 minutes. Take out and let cool until frosted.

Ingredients (For Frosting):

Vanilla

Milk

One Bag of Powdered Sugar

One Stick of Crisco

Green and Orange Food Dye

Extras:

Pretzel Sticks

Orange Sprinkles

Recipe (For Frosting):

Put 4 cups of powdered sugar, a splash of milk, 1 tablespoon of vanilla, and the stick of Crisco. Mix until well blended. If stiff add more milk. If not sweet enough add more sugar. Then, set a bit aside and dye it green. With the rest of it dye it orange. Take a frosting tip with a bit of swirl and carefully frost the cupcakes in a swirl. When done frosting, break a pretzel in half and put it in the middle of the cupcake. Then, make leaves or vine shapes with the green frosting. Lastly, sprinkle the orange sprinkles on the cupcake.

My Opinion:

I though these ended up really cute and I think they are awesome! But to do these you have to have a few hours and you can't be opposed to a lot of cleaning. I would say it took me about 3 and a half hours to complete these. Yet like I said they turned out really cute, they would be perfect for a Halloween party also.

P.S: You can decorate the cupcake tray just like I did! I used lollipops, tissue paper, a sharpie, Popsicle sticks, and a hot glue gun. It was easy and made a big difference with the presentation.
